Our Materials

At Berries&Co, we make sure every day that the quality of our services and the quality of the materials we use in our jewellery remain as high as possible. We care deeply about how our jewellery is made and where our materials come from. We love natural raw materials and stones and sourcing them ethically is our top priority.

Gold

Pure gold is soft and it’s practically impossible to make jewellery from it. That’s why jewellery uses alloys of gold with other metals which are more resistant to external factors.

Our range includes products made of: 18K gold – 750 fineness, which means that this alloy contains 75% pure gold and 14K gold – 585 fineness, which means that this alloy contains 58.5% pure gold.

Silver

Silver is one of the most popular precious metals used in jewellery. To produce jewellery, we use 925 silver, i.e. sterling silver (containing 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper). The silver used to make our jewellery does not contain nickel.

Gold-plated silver

Our silver products also undergo the gold plating process. We gild them with a thick layer of 18-carat gold to make them more resistant to damage. However, you should bear in mind that it may lose its original shine over time due to everyday use.To extend its durability, please consult our care methods. You can also use our jewellery renovation service.

Enamel

Are you tempted by colour? Then check out our enamelled products!

Enamelling is a technique involving applying a shiny material to a metal surface. We use cold enamel that doesn’t contain glass. This type of enamel is much more durable and resistant to chipping that can sometimes occur in everyday use.

Care

Make sure that your jewellery keeps its natural shine for as long as possible.

Avoid direct contact with perfumes, strong detergents and cosmetics. Take your jewellery off when bathing, washing your hands or going to bed. Store your jewellery in the original packaging and remove it during physical activity.

It’s normal for silver to turn dark in contact with oxygen. To restore its shine, wipe it with a special silver cloth.

Especially when you love it and wear it often, your jewellery may sometimes show traces of wear. Don’t worry if you notice slight scratches or abrasion of the surface on your gold-plated jewellery. This is the effect of time and other natural factors related to your use of the product. Contact us at any time if you need to refresh or repair your jewellery.
